Urgent: B-CU Women’s Volleyball Needs Our Help!

Look, we get it. Football is king and has been that way for a long time in every corner of America. It’s a great sport to love. But do you know what else is a great sport? Volleyball. B-CU Women’s volleyball, in particular.

Womens Volleyball Surges

In recent years, women’s volleyball has emerged as a powerhouse in collegiate athletics, captivating fans with its fast-paced action and fierce competition. From coast to coast, universities are witnessing a surge in support for their volleyball programs, drawing in crowds eager to witness the thrilling battles on the court.

Our very own Wildcats are no exception. Brittany Williams, who has been at the helm for 8 seasons, has done a great job leading this remarkable group of young women. Among them is standout Junior Niara Hightower, who was selected as the 2023 SWAC Blocker of the year. Hightower amassed 107 blocks and 117 kills and also garnered her first All-SWAC Second Team selection. Additionally, they not only compete on the court but also excel off of it. Our Women’s Volleyball team boasts not only a 100% graduation rate for the 2023-2024 academic year but also the highest average GPA (3.8) among all athletic teams on campus.

Wildcats World Tour

After bowing out in the SWAC semi-finals back in November, our ladies are ramping up for a big season in 2024. This is where they urgently need your help! Following the 2023 season, B-CU announced their “World Tour” Campaign, where they will travel to Central and South America in Summer 2024. This is a 10-Day trip that will allow for our team to represent the school in various match-ups and tournaments. Your contributions will go towards airfare, accommodations, and meals. Wildcats let’s rally behind our Women and make sure they have an unforgettable time abroad.

Support Women

Like most women’s sports, they are often overlooked and underfunded, but it doesn’t have to be that way. In other sports, we see names like Caitlyn Clark and Angel Reese drawing more attention to their respective teams and overall sport. Fortunately for us, we don’t have to wait until we have a big name to support our women’s programs; we can do that now. Let’s start by donating to our women’s volleyball team today.

If you are unable to give, do us a big favor, share this article and ensure that every Wildcat sees it.

All Hail to Thee
